We are currently testing our two new sensors, which can be easily added to our Mach-Sens Starter Kit. With these sensors, you can measure not only temperature and humidity but also ammonia or ozone levels. We have received requests from our customers who want better insights into air quality in hatcheries and farms, in addition to measuring CO2 levels.
Measuring CO2 provides a valuable indication of ventilation quality in a room or farm, which has a direct impact on the health of livestock and, of course, the well-being of the people working in these areas. Our new sensor is designed to be rugged and performs exceptionally well in dusty and humid environments, both indoors and outdoors.
Currently, we are conducting tests for ammonia levels at a pig farm, positioned right next to the ventilation system. This allows us to assess the accuracy and consistency of measurements as well as the durability of the sensor. It’s important to note that ammonia is a toxic gas, which can potentially affect the sensor and its hardware. Testing it under extreme conditions ensures the reliability of our sensors.
